Chemical Wash

When a normal service is not enough, a chemical wash strips away the grime a light clean leaves behind.

Overview

What this service covers

Over time, dust, grease and mould build up deep inside the evaporator coil, blower wheel and drainage — places a routine wipe-down simply cannot reach. That build-up chokes airflow, breeds odours and forces your unit to work harder for less cooling.

A Primeaire chemical wash dismantles the unit, foam-cleans every internal component, flushes the drainage line and reassembles it to factory-fresh condition. Most customers notice colder, cleaner-smelling air the moment we switch it back on.

What's in the job

Full dismantling

We remove the cover, filters and drainage tray to expose the coil and blower for a genuine deep clean.

Foam coil treatment

A specialist foaming cleaner lifts embedded dust, grease and mould from the fins without damaging them.

Blower wheel clean

The blower is cleaned separately — a major source of odours and the black dust that gets blown into your room.

Drainage flush

We clear and flush the condensate line to stop the leaks and water stains caused by clogged drainage.

Sanitising rinse

An anti-bacterial rinse tackles the mould and mildew that cause that damp, musty aircon smell.

Reassemble & test

Everything goes back together, then we run the unit and confirm the output temperature has improved.

Questions

Good to know

How is a chemical wash different from a normal service?
A normal service cleans accessible filters and surfaces. A chemical wash dismantles the unit and foam-cleans the coil, blower and drainage that a light service cannot reach.
How often should it be done?
For most Klang Valley homes, once or twice a year is ideal — more often for units near kitchens, construction or heavy daily use.
Will it fix a bad smell for good?
In the vast majority of cases, yes. Odours are usually mould in the coil and blower, which the chemical and sanitising process removes.
